Since diseases such as tuberculosis, Congo fever, malaria, AIDS, brucellosis, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, etc. are among the major problems in the region, the need to set up and support this center was felt more than other centers. The Center for Infectious and Tropical Diseases Research received the approval of the Council for the Development of Medical Sciences Universities on 2006-04-15.
The ability of the members of the center in various scientific fields such as infectious diseases, respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases, epidemiology, genetics, histology, microbiology, biochemistry as well as the existence of appropriate laboratory equipment in the center, provides a suitable platform for scientific and practical research. Has provided. The commendable efforts of the faculty and researchers of this center during 2006 resulted in the definitive agreement on 2008-01-09.
Among the successes of the center is the achievement of the highest ranking among the research centers in the 13th Razi Festival and the selection of a founding member as one of the exemplary researchers in the country.
The Research Center for Infectious and Tropical Diseases is located in the Bouali Medical Research Hospital. The hospital library is equipped with Persian and Latin books and specialized journals that are regularly sponsored and updated by the University Central Library. Internet access and databases have also made it possible for customers to provide good services.
